Kurt and Amanda: Jackson Ms Weddings with Reception at Duling Hall

Earlier this month Stephen and I got to spend the day hanging out with Kurt and Amanda documenting their wedding day. They decided not to see each other prior to the ceremony so we spent the first part of the afternoon hanging out with Amanda at the Old Capital Inn as she got ready before heading to the King Edward for a few shots of the guys. Amanda was so very calm and relaxed!

Love this moment between Amanda and her mom.

Even the bridesmaids shed a few tears watching Amanda slip into her gown.

The courtyard of the Inn was perfect for a few bridals and shots of all the girls.

I was able to get on the roof to get a shot of the girls from above.

And luckily, I was still up there to capture this candid moment when two of the girls got stuck together! Thankfully no one lost any hair.

While the girls were relaxing at the Inn, the guys were chowing down on some wings at the King Edward. They even offered us a few of the spicy ones. We passed on that since none of them seemed to be touching those!

Right before the ceremony we were able to get a few last details.

The reception was held at the Dulling Hall and I’m pretty sure everyone had a blast!

Cliff and Hannah: Hattiesburg Ms Wedding Photography

11.11.11 only comes around every 100 yrs. Definitely a cool date for a wedding and I am pretty sure Cliff and Hannah’s Hattiesburg Ms wedding was one of the coolest weddings to take place on that date. Since Friday also happened to be Veteran’s Day I thought it was pretty awesome that Cliff is actively deployed and home for a short leave from Afghanistan. What better way to celebrate the men and women who have sacrificed and are sacrificing so much for our country then to be able to be a part of Cliff and Hannah’s love story.  I had spoke to Hannah a few times on the phone prior to her wedding day, but had not had the opportunity to actually meet her. However, you would have thought we were old friends from the moment we let her know we were arriving at the salon. She actually came out and greeted us each with a hug and the whole day went pretty much the same. The whole family, both Cliff’s and Hannah’s, made us feel so welcome in their home and their lives for the day. It was such a wonderful day and such a beautiful intimate ceremony.

Stephen and I have no shortage of beautiful brides…

or handsome grooms…

Check out Hannah’s ring. Cliff did a great job picking it out!

LOVE this next close up of Hannah and Cliff. It was such an emotional moment for them and Hannah’s face says it all.

I absolutely loved their backyard ceremony. Gorgeous and simple.

Cliff had a special guest arrive in the form of a cake.

Are these cakes not gorgeous? Not to mention, they were delicious as well. Tara’s Cakes did an amazing job on the details.

Their reception was catered by Seasoned with Love.

Another gorgeous shot of Hannah during the reception.

And finally, a beautiful shot of the couple to end the evening.

I love all of the photographs. The bride and groom are absolutely gorgeous. I love the last picture of Cliff and Hannah sitting in the tea house. My husband built the koi pond and all of its surroundings, so that’s special. We fell in love with the photo of Hannah looking up with those big brown eyes. As a baby and a child growing up my nickname for her was peeper, those big brown eyes were always taking it all in! That brought tears to my eyes. :)
Thank you so much!

Hannah! What lovely photos. The piano portrait of the two of you is classic. And the reflections on the pool–wow!

Adam + Alli Photography

A while back we had the pleasure of taking some pictures for our good friends, Adam and Allison. They also happen to be AWESOME photographers and needed some new photos to promote their new business name. We couldn’t say no since they have taken our family pictures on multiple occasions plus they are a really good looking couple and who doesn’t like that on their blog. Be sure to check out their work on the new site  here.

This is my friend Juju that hangs out on Tuesdays teaching the locals how to play the drums. He is one cool dude!

Colyer family

Stephen and I got to spend time with this awesome family last weekend. We had such a blast hanging out that I almost forgot we were actually working.  They were so laid back and fun to be around which made it so easy to get great pictures!

Austin and Rachael: Jackson Ms Wedding Photography

Stephen and I have photographed some of the most awesome couples. Rachael and Austin were certainly not an exception. Rachael made such a gorgeous bride. We didn’t get the chance to meet with the two of them prior to the wedding, but felt so comfortable around them it was as if we were old friends. We did get the opportunity to know them a little through a questionaire they filled out for us and I LOVE what they had to say about their first date. Rachael says, “…after our first date I knew I was in trouble because he was nothing but a gentleman and I could tell he would one day turn into my best friend.” In Austin’s words, “…dinner seemed like it only lasted five minutes because we were so lost in conversation for hours…after our movie I took her home and texted her after. I couldn’t wait to do it again. I was the happiest man in the world because I knew I had something special.”  Let me just say, it was evident those words were true after spending the day with them. They are so in love and just perfect for each other and I have the pictures to prove it!

We just had to get a photo of  Rachael’s make-up artist. Is she not awesome?

While Rachael was busy enhancing her natural beauty, Austin was busy beating his groomsmen at a game of pool.

All of them that weren’t sleeping, that is!!!

Rachael was absolutely breathtaking.

Austin looking so happy waiting to see his bride for the first time.

Rachael and Austin exchanged letters.

I loved watching Rachael’s connection with her dad throughout the day! They had such a special connection.

Stephen hitched a ride to the reception with the newlyweds and I love the photos he got on the way!

This next photo need no introduction. LOVE it!

The reception was amazing!

I actually laughed out loud at this next photo Stephen captured as they were leaving the reception!

And, finally, some portraits of the beautiful couple…
