Stephen and I usually try to meet with our brides and grooms prior to the wedding if possible. Unfortunately, we were not able to do that with Courtney and Brandon before the big day. Courtney assured me the week before the wedding that we didn’t have to worry about them being okay with their pictures being taken because they weren’t shy and we would feel like we had known them forever. Aside from the fact that Brandon tried to convince us that his name was actually Brayden, she was correct! We immediately felt like part of the family.

Courtney and Brandon actually met in 6th grade. Courtney told us that she used to pick on Brandon and call him Burrito Figueiredo because it rhymed. Amidst all of the picking they found love. We were so honored to be able to witness just a little of that on their wedding day. Their love for each other was so evident and their wedding was absolutely beautiful. I wish there was room to add all of the images from their big day!

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Burrito! Your day was just as stunning as the two of you! Thank you for allowing us to be your gulf coast wedding photographers. We wish you much happiness in your new life together!Biloxi Beach Wedding PhotographersJoco Foto: Your Jackson Mississippi Wedding PhotographerOld Camera Detial shootsJoco Foto: Your Jackson Mississippi Wedding PhotographerJoco Foto: Your Jackson Mississippi Wedding PhotographerJoco Foto: Your Jackson Mississippi Wedding PhotographerJoco Foto: Your Jackson Mississippi Wedding PhotographerJoco Foto: Your Jackson Mississippi Wedding PhotographerJoco Foto: Your Jackson Mississippi Wedding PhotographerJoco Foto: Your Jackson Mississippi Wedding Photographer

Sarah - I LOVE that alligator bread. Can I ask where you ordered that?

Last weekend We had the opportunity to hang out with this fun couple and takes some awesome photographs. They love shopping at produce markets so we were excited to be able to include a local Mississippi fruit stand in our photography session. We met at Donna’s #6, just outside Jackson, MS and they were gracious enough to accommodate. When Ashleigh and Davis suggested using a fruit stand we immediately knew we had to include a picnic complete with cupcakes topped with fresh fruit. Ashleigh had the perfect place for our picnic, Twin Lakes, and to our surprise, they brought several really awesome props to the session as well. These two were so fun and at ease during the session which made for some great pictures. I love that Ashleigh is such a sentimental person and actually brought her mom’s dress that she had worn for her engagement pictures several years ago; we can’t wait to see the details at the wedding. I hope you guys like the sneaks and I can’t wait to hang out with you at your wedding in May. We are certainly the luckiest photographers with the best brides!  Also featured on Engaged and Inspired!

Kathy Kammer - Ohhh, just love looking at these sweet pictures! You did a GREAT job capturing the personalities of these two young’uns!

Heather Stockett - These are precious! My favorite shots are the fruit stand with them hugging with the people in the back ground and the one with him serenading her. Love them all, though! Great cupcake shots!!!!

The other weekend Tami and I had the opportunity to spend the evening photographing Lauren and Sonny on the beautiful Natchez Trace just outside Jackson, MS. The weather was beautiful for pictures and these two were tons of fun to hang around with. The are very much dog people, just as much as Tami and I are photography people! They had three rather large dogs to include in the pictures. We thought having them walk the dogs would be a great picture, but I couldn’t stop snickering at poor little Lauren being dragged along by Vera (her dog). We had so much fun with you two and can’t wait to photograph your wedding in August!

With Valentine’s day quickly approaching, we wanted to celebrate it with a fun contest for all you love birds! Although I’m sure you guys are absolutely adorable, we don’t want you to send us a cute standard photo of yourselves. Let’s make this interesting and play a little bridal shower game! Since we all LOVE the DIY projects on Pinterest, we want you to try your hand at designing a wedding dress! The fun part, you have to design it out of toilet paper! Either of you can model the dress and have someone snap a picture to send to us. Be creative and don’t forget, the accessories!!!

Once you have your photo ready, here is what you will need to do:
1.Email us your photo(quality doesn’t matter) at info@jocofoto.com
2.Go like our facebook page: JoCo Foto
3.Tell you friends on Facebook or Twitter that you entered to win a session with JoCo Foto and be sure to tag us
4.Have your friends and family like your photo on our facebook page (They must like our page as well for the vote to
count!)
5.The photo with the most likes by February 18th will win an engagement session with an 11×14 mounted print from JoCo Foto.

PLUS, a little something extra for everyone that plays along. If you book your wedding with us, you will enjoy a $100 discount on all wedding packages!

For all of our current brides… you beautiful ladies are eligible to win a bridal session for playing along!

You can start sending your photos immediately. We will start uploading to our facebook page on Monday, February 6 2012. We had the pleasure of hanging out with some pretty amazing Wedding photographers for a “rock and roll” themed wedding shoot this weekend. We all met up at the awesome Cotton Ginnovations in Sumrall, MS and I must say the space was perfect for this funky shoot. The bride totally rocked out the dress from Forrest Paper and Bridal Company while the rest of the models completely fit the theme. The flowers provided by Blooms in Hattiesburg, MS where the perfect addition. We had such a great time and look forward to the next time!
